President Danilo Medina traveled to El Salvador on Sunday, 1 June and returned later the same day. He was attending President Salvador Sanchez Ceren’s inauguration ceremony. President Medina invited the new President to attend the Central American Integration System (SICA) Summit that will take place in Punta Cana on 25-27 June 2014. The event marks the conclusion of the Dominican Republic’s presidency of the SICA group. President Medina was accompanied by Administrative Minister Jose Ramon Peralta, Minister of Interior & Police Jose Ramon Fadul and Minister of Hacienda Simon Lizardo. Also traveling was the Superintendent of Insurance Euclides Gutierrez Feliz, businessman Jose Miguel Gonzalez, and his personal assistants.
