In a statement to Listin Diario last night, Tuesday 12 August 2014, Defense Minister Admiral Sigfrido Pared Perez said that the Dominican Army had captured the Haitian escaped convict and kidnapper, Clifford Brandt, together with two other fugitives from jail in Port-au-Prince.
He said that an army patrol had caught them on the border between Jimani and Hondo Valle. The Haitian Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe confirmed the capture with the cooperation of the Dominican authorities.
Admiral Sigfrido Pared Perez said that the Haitian authorities had asked them to hand over the criminals who are currently being held in Jimani. They will be taken to Port-au-Prince by helicopter.
