A man identified only as “Puyu” was shot and beaten to death by a mob yesterday, Thursday 21 August 2014, and another man who accompanied him was wounded. This incident occurred in the Caimito el Rosario sector in the city of Moca when the two men mugged a young woman in a small betting parlor (called “Lottery Banks”). Local residents shot Puyu as he tried to remove one of the two sets of clothing he was wearing. Another alleged criminal remains hospitalized at the Dr. Toribio Bencosme Hospital in Moca.
