Cunard Cruise Lines has included Amber Cove, the new cruise ship port under construction by Carnival Cruises in Maimon, Puerto Plata in their program for 2016. The port is the third port of call of the luxury Queen Mary 2 ship on its 120-day, 26-country cruise that takes travelers to 38 ports and makes eight maiden calls, including the stop in Amber Cove. The cruise starts on 10 January 2016 in Southampton, England, with a first stop in the Americas on Sunday, 17 January in New York, continuing to Fort Lauderdale and then on to Amber Cove, in Puerto Plata for a stop on Friday, 22 January.
Passengers on this round the world cruise will also visit Barbados, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, India, Dubai, Oman, Egypt, Cyprus, Israel, Turkey, Italy, and Spain prior to its return to England and then to New York.
