The DR is currently receiving US$700 million in petrol financing from Venezuela, says Minister of Industry and Commerce Jose del Castillo. He said the ongoing PetroCaribe financing is long term and at low interest rates. The worsening economic situation in Venezuela places the Dominican Republic in a vulnerable situation.
