President Danilo Medina sent his congratulations to the new President-elect of Uruguay, Tabare Vazquez Rosas, yesterday, Monday 1 December 2014. Vazquez won the presidential election in the second round vote. He ran for the Popular Front coalition that won the election for the third consecutive time.
Medina commented on the excellent bilateral relations that exist between the Dominican Republic and Uruguay and said he hoped for more commercial and cultural exchanges.
