The law firm Sinerlex Dominicana is seeking to capitalize on the announced opening up of Cuba and is promoting what it calls is the First Legal Business Guide to Cuba. The guide seeks to help Dominican companies understand how to do business in Cuba. Managing partner Cesar Emilio Jimenez says that the guide is a digest of the latest rulings approved in Cuba in 2013 and 2014, including the decree that creates the Mariel Special Zone, the foreign investment law, labor code and rulings on real estate and taxation in Cuba, as reported in Diario Libre.
