President Danilo Medina arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico today, Tuesday 13 January 2015 for a meeting with Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla. A series of cooperation agreements will be signed as part of a bilateral agenda being worked on since September 2014. Since that first meeting both parties have promised to initiate a new phase of cooperation for unprecedented economic and commercial development. This has led to the government officials from both the DR and Puerto Rico working on agreements in areas that include trade, promotion of foreign investment, education and security.
President Medina is scheduled to return later today.
