A film based on the life of Puerto Rican drug lord Jose David Figueroa Agosto will have its premiere in selected cinemas on Thursday 29 January 2015. The film was first shown in Puerto Rico on 4 December 2014.
The film is called “The Kings: The True Story of Buster and the Chameleon” (“Los Reyes: La verdadera historia del Buster y el Camaleon”) and was directed by Vicente Castro and co-produced with Jorge Luis Ramos. The starring roles are played by Puerto Rican actor Jorge Alberti and Dominican actress Georgina Duluc.
The screenplay by Vicente Castro focuses on Figueroa’s love affairs and his links with powerful social circles. The movie was shot in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
