President Danilo Medina visited the Embassy of France in Santo Domingo yesterday, Wednesday 14 January 2015 to sign a book of condolence in the wake of last week’s attacks on the Charlie Hebdo magazine offices in Paris. He told the press, “I too am Charlie.”
In his message he said he was signing in solidarity with the French people and to repudiate the fanatical and barbaric act by a group of terrorists against innocent people who while exercising press freedom expressed their ideas in the free country that is France. Medina also conveyed his message of solidarity to French Ambassador Blandine Kreiss.
