After 44 years with Monsignor Agripino Nunez Collado at the helm of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), the country’s largest private university, Father Ramon Alfredo de la Cruz Baldera, takes charge.
He formally took the post during a ceremony yesterday Thursday 15 January 2015, led by the Archbishop of Santiago, Monsignor Ramon Benito de la Rosa Carpio.
At the time of his appointment, Father Ramon Alfredo de la Cruz was the rector of the main university in San Francisco de Macoris, the Northeastern Catholic University (Universidad Catolica Nordestana, UCNE), and is the president of the Dominican university rectors’ association.
