As the Dominican Professional Baseball League Championship reaches the final best-of-nine series between the Gigantes del Cibao and the Estrellas Orientales, the lead has switched back and forth. The Estrellas won the first two games by wide margins, and then the Gigantes came charging back, winning three in a row to take the lead in the series.
Last night Parker Frazier continued the excellent work by Rafael Perez and Mario Santiago and pitched the Gigantes Del Cibao to their third victory, 5-3 over the Estrellas. The US right-hander pitched almost six innings against the Estrellas Orientales in the Estadio Tetelo Vargas in San Pedro de Macoris. The best-of-nine final series now heads back to San Francisco de Macoris for tomorrow’s game, Friday 23 January 2015.
