National Literature Prize announced

The Corripio Foundation and the Ministry of Culture have announced that writer Robert Marcalle Abreu is the winner of the National Literature Prize for 2015. The jury that selects the winner is made up of the rectors of the country’s seven main universities. Marcalle Abreu was chosen for his outstanding contribution to Dominican literature.

66-year old Marcalle Abreu will receive a diploma and one million pesos in prize money at a ceremony to be held at the National Theater in Santo Domingo.
