Shopping malls are getting very creative. On Saturday, 14 February 2014, St. Valentine’s Day, 20 couples said, “I do” during a collective wedding ceremony organized by the management of the Sambil Santo Domingo Mall. Justice of Peace Birmania Arzeno legalized the civil wedding with the brides dressed in long white gowns and the grooms in tuxedos.
Marketing manager Maria Eglee Heredia said it was the first collective wedding held at a shopping mall and is part of the mall’s corporate social responsibility program. “For us everything that promotes family values is important. This is why we have made the dream come true for these couples on low incomes by preparing their wedding with all expenses paid.”
