Indian Foreign Affairs Minister visits

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Retired General Vijay Kumar Singh arrived in Santo Domingo on Sunday, 15 February 2015 for an official three-day visit. The 63-year old retired general and Minister of State for External Affairs of India is the second at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in India.

He is scheduled to meet with President Danilo Medina and Medina administration cabinet ministers, including ministers of Energy and Mines, Foreign Relations and Industry and Commerce. A reception will be held in his honor at the Santo Domingo Hilton from 6:30 to 8:30pm on Monday 16 February 2015.

His visit also includes a breakfast meeting at the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic and a visit to the Colonial City on Tuesday, 17 February 2015.

Upon his arrival, the high-ranking Indian government official was received by Dominican Foreign Relations Ministry officials, together with the Indian ambassador to the Dominican Republic C Rajasekhar, Honorary consul of India in the DR Campos de Moya and Dominican ambassador in India Hans Dannenberg.
