Weather forecasters are warning of high surf along all Dominican coasts as a result of a weather system that will bring light rainfall nationwide, especially on the south eastern coasts. Waves of up to seven feet high, nevertheless, are forecast from Cabo Engano in the far east to Luperon towards the northwest. Small boats are advised to stay in port.
For Thursday, 19 February 2015 a trough is expected to bring more rain, especially in the northwest, north, central Cibao and northeast of the country.
