The Embassy of Japan is presenting an exhibition of Calendars of Japan at Galeria 360 shopping mall. For over 15 years, the Embassy has exhibited the calendars that are described as works of art as well as utilitarian tools. Some 130 calendars are presented this year. They show the work of famous Japanese photographers, depict cultural scenes, landscapes and famous paintings of Japan. The photographs also provide insights into Japanese gardens, bonsai, flowers and plants, architecture, and the traditional kimono dress, gastronomy and other topics. The exhibition celebrates the 80th year of Japanese -Dominican relations. It will be open through Friday, 13 March 2015.
