Central Bank Governor Hector Valdez Albizu says that the exchange rate has stabilized following the injection of US$200 million into the market, which was authorized by the Monetary Board in the second week of February.
He recalled that in mid-January the dollar-peso exchange rate was between RD$45.15 and RD$45.20 and now it was at RD$44.74, which showed a decrease in the rate that reverses its usual gradual upwards trend.
