A Santo Domingo Judge, Josefina Ubiera, has sent the four Venezuelan pilots and the two Dominican mechanics accused of trying to steal a plane confiscated from Bank Peravia executive Jose Luis Santoro to three months’ pre-trial detention.
Venezuelans Alexander Lira, Victor Daniel Alvarez Rincon, Armando Jose Gutierrez Gil and Jorge Luis Yzghen have been sent to San Pedro de Macoris jail along with Dominicans Yanduel Andres Caraballo Cabrera and Manuel de Jesus Valdez Jiminian.
They were arrested at the La Isabela International Airport in northern Santo Domingo on Saturday 7 March 2015, and are accused of attempting to take the plane.
