Speaking to reporters yesterday, Wednesday 11 March 2015, the chief of Police said that the murder of the deputy minister of Mines and Energy should be resolved shortly. Major General Manuel Castro Castillo said investigators were analyzing several videos they describe as “important” and that could be vital to solving the murder of the deputy minister of Energy and Mines, Victoriano Santos Hilario on Friday, 6 March 2015. His son was also seriously injured in the violent raid on the family home.
Castro Castillo said the crime has all the features of a contract killing and that they have found other important evidence that will help the investigators solve the crime and arrest the culprits.
