Health plans for orphaned children

The National Social Security Council (CNSS) has authorized the affiliation of children and teenagers living in orphanages to Senasa health plans. The children can have orphan status due to the death of their parents, or if they were abandoned by their parents or have lost their parents due to absence, mental incapacity and other causes. They need to live in homes affiliated to the National Health Plan (Senasa) run by the government. The decision is issued in Resolution 367-02 by the CNSS.
