In an announcement made yesterday, Wednesday 25 March 2015, the Ministry of Tourism said that commercial activity is being reactivated in the Colonial City with the opening of 320 new businesses as renovations progress. The Program Coordinating Unit has carried out a survey with a view to improving the way that events are managed and to direct projects aimed at developing new businesses. The Ministry reports that 85% of the basic engineering works have been completed in the first stage on Arzobispo Merino, Isabel la Catolica, Restauracion, Emiliano Tejera, Padre Billini and Arzobispo Portes streets.
