The Dominican Medical Association (CMD) wants a review of the medical residencies test that was failed by 82.5% of students who took the test in order to be authorized to continue in the residency programs in public hospitals. Only 17.5% of medical students who took the test passed.
CMD president Pedro Sing asked for the review to determine why only 17.5% of medical graduates passed the test applied by the National Council of Medical Residences. The students who failed can be tested again.
The medical association requested a third party review of the way the test was written up, its structure, how it was corrected, the level and scientific base of the test.
