The Bienes Nacionales Agency that manages government property assets began a RD$10 billion auction of government property on 31 March 2015. The auction includes vehicles, furniture, office equipment and junk. Emerson Soriano, director of the department in charge of the auction said that it is supervised by a commission made up of representatives of the Centro Juan XXIII, the Consejo Dominicano de Unidad Evangelica (Codue), the Attorney General Office and the media.
