Attorney General Francisco Dominguez Brito has warned that when it comes to corruption, the justice system has not been convincing. In a rendering of accounts yesterday, Wednesday 8 April 2015, Dominguez Brito said that impunity has triumphed in the biggest of cases with benign decisions in some, totally complacent decisions in others and dozens of delays of processing.
He said that the Attorney General Office has worked hard to fight corruption. “The justice system still faces many challenges to close the circle of impunity,” he said.
He commented that in the cases like that of Senator Felix Bautista he has appealed the “auto de no ha lugar” and would continue to fight using each of the resources provided in the system.
He called for the country to make the leap to fight corruption.
