President Danilo Medina left for Panama City today, Thursday 9 April 2015 to take part in the Seventh Summit of the Americas taking place from 10-11 April 2015 at the Atlapa Convention Center.
The President’s agenda for today, Thursday 9 April, includes a meeting with US President Barack Obama and other presidents of member countries of the regional Central American Integration System (SICA).
The central theme of the meeting will be “Prosperity with Quality: The Challenge of Cooperation in the Americas.”
The President’s agenda also includes meetings with United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, and participation in a regional business forum. Medina will also attend the inauguration of the new Dominican embassy in Panama.
Medina left on a private flight from the San Isidro Air Base. He is traveling with First Lady Candida Montilla, Minister of Foreign Relations Andres Navarro, Minister of the Presidency Gustavo Montalvo, Administrative Minister of the Presidency Jose Ramon Peralta and Minister of Interior and Police Jose Ramon Fadul.
