Moving ahead for Colombia-DR visa-less travel

The directors of Migration of the Dominican Republic and Colombia Ricardo Taveras and Christian Kruger Sarmiento signed an agreement yesterday, Thursday 9 April 2015 for exchange of migration information as part of steps being taken to eliminate the requirement for Colombian and Dominican tourists visas for traveling to each country. The agreement includes the installation of intelligence databases for each government. The ministers of foreign relations of both countries signed the initial agreement in March. The measure is expected to help an estimated 50,000 Dominicans and Colombians who travel between both countries every year.
