The National Archives presents an outdoor exhibition of hundreds of photographs of the 1965 Civil War. The photos in the exhibition have never been on display until now. A documentary commemorating the 50th anniversary of the April war will be screened at the Archives on 24 April 2015.
The documentary: “The Commandos: the People Take Up Arms” is dedicated to all the groups that took up arms for the restoration of the democratically elected government of Juan Bosch.
The National Archives, located on Calle Modesto Diaz off Av. Abraham Lincoln in Santo Domingo, has materials to help Dominicans understand the event.
