The Ministry of Higher Education (MESCYT) has announced that scholarships are available for masters and doctorates at universities in Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Spain and the United States. The scholarships are mainly for degrees in the sciences and education. Most are full scholarships.
The universities offering the scholarships for this year are:
Great Britain: University of London, University of Bristol, Newcastle University, University of Portsmouth, Harper Adams University, Warwick University, University of Wolverhampton
Germany: University of Berlin
Russia: Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia
Singapore: National Institute of Education
Czech Republic: Technical University of Ostrava
Spain: EOI Business School, Cartagena Polytechnic University, Madrid Polytechnic University, Catalunya Polytechnic University, San Jorge University, ENAE Business School, Barcelona University, University of the Basque Country, Center for Financial Studies (CEF)
United States: Utah State University, Western Michigan University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Vanderbilt University, Columbia University, University of Missouri, Plymouth State University, Harvard Graduate of Education School.
To apply for the scholarships, students must be Dominican citizens and resident in the country, have an grade average of at least 3 or 80/100, take the university application tests, return to the country and work for two years.
