Taiwan donates US$2.1 million for Juan Bosch City

The Taiwanese government has delivered the first installment of a US$2,100,000 donation for the construction of community facilities in the Juan Bosch City, the largest residential development ever built by a Dominican government. US$1 million will be used to build a senior citizens’ center and the rest for a center for disabled adults.

Taiwanese ambassador Tomas Ping-fu Hou presented the first payment of US$275,000 for the Disabled Adults’ Center and US$250,000 for the Senior Citizens’ Center yesterday, Monday 27 April 2015. He said that he was pleased that his country could help with projects that will improve quality of life for Dominicans.

Speaking on behalf of the Dominican government, Vice Minister of the Presidency, Zoraima Cuello thanked the ambassador for his country’s valuable support for the Juan Bosch Housing Complex.
