Engineer Manuel Rivas has announced the purchase of 100 new Mercedes Benz buses (year 2015) manufactured in Brazil at a cost of US$148,000 each. The purchase was made with funds generated by the government bus service.
The first 27 units have arrived and will begin service next week on several of the OMSA city routes.
Rivera expressed his satisfaction at having fulfilled the OMSA role of transporting commuters with safety, economy, efficiency and punctuality.
