Playing for the New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez connected the 661st homerun of his career, moving past legendary Willie Mays on the list of all-time best homerun batters. Only Barry Bonds (762), Hank Aaron (755) and Babe Ruth (714) have hit more homeruns.
He connected the homerun to a cheering crowd of Yankee fans in the third inning of the game the Yankees won 4-3 over the Baltimore Orioles in New York.
As reported by MLB, Rodriguez pumped his fist as he rounded first base and was warmly received in the dugout by his teammates, as well as by the cheering crowd of 39,816.
