President Danilo Medina visited the border provinces of Elias Pina and Dajabon to meet with farmers over the weekend of Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2015. He announced funding for farmers in the southwestern province of Elias Pina and to exporters in Monte Grande, Dajabon province on the northwestern border with Haiti of bitter orange peels that are exported to France for use in the manufacture of Grand Marnier liqueur.
