The 2015 FCCA PAMAC Cruise Summit will take place from 24-26 June at the Gran Ventana Hotel in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata. The city is hosting the event in the lead-up to the opening of the new Carnival Cruise Amber Cove cruise port, which is scheduled for October. More than 100 platinum members of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) are expected to attend the event.
Platinum members pay US$25,000 in annual membership fees and are usually chief executive officers, presidents and executives who decide which products are sold on board and where ships call.
The event has the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Puerto Plata Chamber of Commerce, and the Puerto Plata Tourism Cluster.
Amber Cove will be the largest cruise terminal in the Caribbean.
