The president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), Roberto Rosario said at an interview with the Corripio media group yesterday, on 25 June 2015, that electoral fraud in 2016 will be practically null with the roll out of the automation of the voting process.
He announced that for the first time a concurrent biometric voters list will be used in the 2016 national election. He explained this will eliminate the rumors that a person has voted twice, or has voted for another person. The vote count in 2016 will be automated.
He said that there will be 15,807 voting stations operating in 4,315 voting points. Upwards of 80,000 persons will work at the voting stations on 15 May 2016, in addition to international observers and members of civic society groups.
