The Ministry of Energy and Mines announced that the exploration of hydrocarbons in the country will now be based on tenders and not concessions, as was the practice in the past. Minister of Energy and Mines, Antonio Isa Conde, said that tenders will be organized as soon as the multinational Schlumberger Surenco concludes compiling the hydrocarbons database.
