DR is 13th in Toronto 2015

The Dominican Republic ended its participation in the Toronto, Canada Pan American Games in 13th place with 24 medals: 3 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze.

In the previous Guadalajara 2011 Pan Am Games, the DR had placed 9th, having won 33 medals: 7 gold, 9 silver and 17 bronze.

In Toronto 2015, the gold medals were won by:

Luguelin Santos – track and field, men’s 400m.

Ana Villanueva, karate, women’s 50kg

Candida Vasquez Hernandez, weightlifting, women’s 48kg

The silver medals were won by:

Aumi Guerra, bowling, women’s single

Hector Garcia Mora, boxing, men’s bantam (56kg)

Yenebier Guillen, boxing, women’s middle (69-75kg)

Violeta Ramirez Peguero, fencing, women’s Individual Epee

Yamilet Pena Abreu, gymnastics artistic, women’s vault

Anel Castillo, karate, men’s 84kg

Deivis Ferreras, men’s 67kg

Karina Diaz, women’s 61kg

Sergio Pinero, shooting, men’s double trap

Luisito Pie, taekwondo, men’s 58kg
