Fenatrado transport union leader Blas Peralta has announced that freight transport to Haiti is back to normal after the entity accepted road safety guarantees from the Haitian government. On 25 August 2015, the ministers of Justice and Security in Haiti signed a resolution with a commitment from the Haitian government to ensure the safety of transporters and their cargo. Peralta said that he trusted that security levels would be maintained.
The transport stoppage, which lasted 27 days, caused millions in losses.
