It was the game the DR had to win, but didn’t. In the FIBA Americas Championship, the Dominican Republic lost to the Puerto Rican men’s basketball team 98-92 yesterday, Monday 7 September 2015. The DR had already lost to Venezuela, another game the team should have won. Now the DR goes against Argentina and Canada, which are leading the tournament together with Mexico. In the game, Jose Juan Barea scored 37 points against the Dominican team. The event is a Olympics Game qualifier. The DR needs to end in 4th place to participate in the next regional Olympics qualifier.
