JCE reviews electronic voting machines

The Central Electoral Board (JCE) commission in charge of choosing the electronic machines to automate voter registration and counting for the 15 May 2016 presidential, legislative and municipal election opened the proposals from the companies taking part in the bidding yesterday, Thursday 10 September 2015. The commission is chaired by Luis Ramon Cordero.

The companies that submitted bids are Consorcio Miru-Magna, Indra Sistemas, Teknowlogic Dominicana, Consorcio Dynamics Solutions, Carvajal Tecnologia y Servicios, and Sabeled Export (Consorcio Ekempt-Sabeled).

The Oversight Commission, whose members include Listin Diario director Miguel Franjul and Reverend Jesus Castro Marte, also took part at yesterday’s event.
