Leading opposition PRM candidate Luis Abinader has described the Medina administration as a failure when it comes to citizen safety. He promised to modernize the Police and pledged a minimum monthly wage of US$500 to police agents, as well as implementing new technology for crime prevention and rapid response.
He was speaking during a campaign event yesterday, Thursday 10 September 2015 when he received the support of 57 generals and 170 senior police officers, including Brigadier General Eugenio Matos, Major General Juan Bautista Rojas Tabar, General Amalio Pinales Cuevas, Major General Trajano Moreta Cuevas and Major General Maximo Peralta.
