Drug traffickers arrested

The National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) has arrested two men in possession of 17 packets of what is thought to be cocaine or heroin. The men were travelling in an SUV in Nagua and were ready to send the drugs, which were in a concealed compartment inside the vehicle, to Puerto Rico by sea.

One of the men is 48 and the other 63 but their names have not yet been released. The younger of the two is known as Nino Yola, a deportee from the United States where he served five years for drug dealing. He also has a previous arrest for trafficking 70 packages of cocaine in July 2005 in Playa Caracoles, near Las Charcas de Azua. The 63-year old man also has a record for drug dealing.
