The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has announced that in order to encourage citizens to become involved in the 15 May 2016 elections they have commissioned three advertisements that will be shown starting this Thursday, 1 October 2015.
JCE spokesman Felix Reyna said that the commercials would build up gradually.
The first to appear, this Tuesday 29 September 2015, features the polling stations, encouraging Dominicans to volunteer to work on election day. The other two ads that will be shown closer to the actual election date are targeted at students between the ages of 14 and 17, to encourage them to observe the process as prospective voters in the 2020 elections. Another will encourage citizens to vote on 15 May 2016.
