In an apparent suicide attempt, a 34-year old man, Rafael Mejia jumped off a 4th floor interior walkway in Santo Domingo’s Agora Mall, but the roof of the Black Coffee cafeteria on the second floor broke his fall and he survived. The incident occurred at 12:20pm on Saturday, 3 October 2015. Agora Mall reports that the man suffered leg and back injuries. The mall medical staff assisted him before he was taken to an undisclosed medical center for treatment.
