The Leones del Escogido and Tigres del Licey open the Dominican Winter Baseball Championship on Thursday, 15 October 2015. They will be competing for the BHD Leon Cup and this year’s tournament will be dedicated to businessman Miguel Feris Iglesias, the late president of the Estrellas Orientales.
In addition to the Santo Domingo ballpark, games will be played at the Estadio Cibao in Santiago, Estadio Tetelo Vargas in San Pedro de Macoris, Estadio Frank Micheli in La Romana, and Estadio Julian Javier in San Francisco de Macoris.
Tickets for games at the Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal will cost RD$1,000, RD$650, RD$450, RD$250, RD$150 and bleachers RD$100
