Los Tres Brazos students affected by fumigation

Around one hundred students at the Guarderia Infantil Damas Diplomaticas School in Los Tres Brazos in Santo Domingo were affected by fumes yesterday, Monday 12 October 2015 after the surrounding area was fumigated against mosquitoes. The school has 1,016 students up to eighth grade and at least 26 had to be taken to hospital along with three teachers.

According to reports, the students suffered from vomiting, nausea, headaches and breathing problems after the fumigation at around 9:40 in the morning.

None of the students are thought to be in danger but their families are saying that the fumigation should have taken place outside of school hours.
