The first cruise ship?s arrival at Amber Cove in Puerto Plata was followed by passenger complaints about the lack of shops at the cruise center and high prices of the goods that were available for sale, and expensive taxis, but also some good reviews for the welcoming smiles of people in Puerto Plata, and the top 10 cruise excursions. The new Carnival port then welcomed its second cruise ship, the Carnival Fantasy on Thursday, 15 October 2015. The ship was in port from 8 to 4pm.
