PAWA to fly to Cuba and Antigua

Pawa Dominicana has announced it will start direct flights to Havana, Cuba and to Antigua with a stopover in St. Maarten as of November 2015. Pawa says it has achieved a 95.8% punctuality record in its first two months in operation to Curacao (CUR), St. Maarten (SXM) and Aruba (AUA).

Corporate affairs director Alexander Barrios said the airline is awaiting US Department of Transport authorization to fly to New York, Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Barrios said the airline also has plans to fly to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago and Barbados, making the Dominican Republic its Caribbean hub.
