The coordinator general of The Dominican Association Against Corruption (Adocco), Julio Cesar de la Rosa Tiburcio, says that his organization has information that persons armed with knives and firearms have infiltrated the Wednesday protests organized to call for the shutdown of the Office of Supervisory Engineers of the State (OISOE).
The alleged plot calls for the ‘planted’ protestors to disrupt the gathering in order to cripple the ability of peaceful protestors to express their condemnation of corruption in OISOE. Over the years, the OISOE has made headlines related to major corruption scandals. De la Rosa Tiburcio said the authorities are solely responsible for what could happen at the protest on Wednesday, including Attorney General, the Minister of Defense, the Director of the National Department of Investigations and the National Police.
