Around 20 persons have been injured, including three seriously, after the frontal collision of two buses that were transporting staff from the Excellence hotel in northern Punta Cana and another that has been unnamed in the first reports on the crash. The accident occurred off the Cruce del Isleno, near La Ceiba on the highway leading from northern Punta Cana to Higuey.
The staff were riding on a 32-passenger Toyota Coaster and a 54-passenger Hyundai that were practically totaled. The injured were taken to the Dr. Baltazar and Cedano clinics in Higuey, as reported.
